How do you maintain flexibility & balance for your team?
We are fully remote. We have a 32 hour work week, and we are very explicit that family and friends come first, work second. Work schedule is flexible. We have as few required sync meetings as possible.
How do you ensure autonomy and plan for the future?
Currently we are a tiny team and everyone participates in planning and design. We're big on delegating responsibility and authority.
How does your company try to hire people from underrepresented groups and improve the diversity of your team?
Our first employee was a women. For all new roles we mostly post on job boards targeting diverse candidates, and we are proactive about manually sourcing diverse candidates.Â
How do you support your team to grow and improve?
We're still figuring this one out, but as a small fast growing startup there are many opportunities for growth. We have weekly 1-1s and are very intentional about making sure everyone is happy and fulfilled with their work.

- 32 Hour Work Week - More and more companies are finding that people accomplish the same amount of work in 32 hours as in 40 hours. Because it's hard to be fully productive at tech work for 8 hours every day.
- Minimum 4 Weeks PTO - It's critical to have good work life balance, so you must take at least 4 weeks PTO each year.
- Menstrual Leave - There's no use trying to be productive when you are suffering. Take the day(s) off as PTO, no explanation needed.
