How do you maintain flexibility & balance for your team?

We believe that "Work is love made visible" (Khalil Gibran). And it is a privilege and an honor to be an organization where as a team, we get to invest our time, skills, and love to build Crew as a gift to the world.

 Everyone's daily schedule is designed personally. Our team sets their hours to ensure they can care for their family, children, and personal needs. Vacation, sick days, and personal days are all decided by each person as they are unlimited. We acknowledge, celebrate, and honor the journey of personal growth and fulfillment of each of our teammates.

How do you ensure autonomy and plan for the future?

We have a company retreat every year (minus covid) to set our goals and direction. We meet once a month to co-define our priorities for the month. And from there, as needed when each teammate is ready for testing or if they want to pull a teammate in for co-creation/provem solving.

How does your company try to hire people from underrepresented groups and improve the diversity of your team?

We are women, Latina led organization. We started out as a diverse team and we continue that commitment of inclusion and representation not only with our staff but also with our community (of clients/members) by offering our technology for free to be able to support social entrepreneurs in less privileged communities around the world.

As we grow, we look forward to making our commitment more clearly stated on our website and hiring opportunities.

How do you support your team to grow and improve?

We haven't had the opportunity to set aside an official budget for personal growth. But each of us has taken time from our work days when we've decided we would benefit from an online course or certification.

I love the ideas in the click boxes below, such as a personal growth plan. We look forward to growing more intentionally in this direction.

Perks and benefits

We officially 'close the office' for 2 weeks in December/January (matching school calendars), 1 week in Thanksgiving week, 1 week of spring break, and at least mandatory 1 week in the summer. Their birthday is PTO. Plus the official holidays in each country. Besides that, each person has an unlimited vacation, sick and personal days, and plans 2-4 week trips every 1-2 years.  

Full-time employees (30 hrs/week+) have health, dental, and vision insurance. 

Every December, each teammate gets a reimbursement check for their home office expenses.
