Our vision is a world with more small businesses that do good while doing well. We're working to build the best products to help our customers build their brands and grow their businesses on social media, and we're focused on sustainable, healthy growth.

We are a values-focused company that strives to serve our customers exceptionally well and one of the most important pieces in doing that is to treat our teammates generously through both tangible and intangible benefits. We have a team of highly-engaged and highly-skilled people across the globe and we emphasize flexible work that allows us to both work hard and disconnect fully. We're currently experimenting with 4-day workweeks while aiming for high-quality work and products.

We are a very results-focused organization and provide a lot of autonomy to our teammates to achieve those goals. Our leaders set the company-wide objectives and key results (OKRs) and the area managers then set the department-level OKRs, which keeps us working in the same direction. We default to asynchronous communication due to the nature of working across more than 13 timezones (but utilize synchronous chats when needed.)

We are committed as a company to invest in diversity and inclusion and have implemented steps within the hiring process (using interview scorecards, etc) and in the broader company to remove unconscious bias. We are actively seeking applications from underrepresented groups and promoting on job boards that reach diverse backgrounds and individuals.

Personal growth (both within Buffer or reaching a role outside of Buffer) is important to us all, and part of our values. We provide a $1,000 USD stipend annually to all teammates for conferences, classes, coaching, certifications, or more.
