How do you maintain flexibility & balance for your team?
Team members are encouraged to work the times that suit them best, as long as they have overlap with their customers' working hours (for calls, to deliver and edit articles, etc.). We use Slack to signal when someone will be unavailable, whether it's to focus on writing or editing, to go to an appointment, or to enjoy lunch with a loved one.

How do you ensure autonomy and plan for the future?
As a transparent organization, we do our best to make sure that members of the team don't feel left out of decisions or find out about any "big" news at the same time as the general public. We hold monthly "all-hands" where the leadership team shares news on company health, sales, and other important developments. Our priorities and plans are developed together, and everyone can contribute to making them a reality.

How do you support your team to grow and improve?
We want our team members to grow - as writers, strategists, and relationship managers. Our employees meet regularly with managers and editors to discuss their work, including what they're doing well and what opportunities they have for improvement. Together with this team, each employee sets realistic goals for career growth, both short term (article delivery goals, writing improvement goals, etc.) and longer term (moving into a strategy role, etc.).
